Art has always been an important part of my life. I dabbled in drawing when I was younger and as I got older,it led me to creating realistic pieces. I let myself get too comfortable with one medium and wasn't open to branching out. My inspiration for this term came from within, I found the drive to make art that is new to me.

This winter, I wanted my art to be something unexpected to my audience and that I have never tried. When I was creating my work, I chose colors that I typically avoid and used new mediums such as magazine,pastel, acrylic, watercolor.I built my own frame (5ft x 7ft) and stretched the canvas for the first time. Opening the door to these new ideas let my creativity flow through, revealing a new side to my artistry that has never been seen before.
